Honing my Film Technique at The Grove

Today I finished a series of classes called Stage to Screen at The Grove which is the new TV/Film extension from The Growing Studio. Sean Dougherty is a fantastic teacher! In Stage to Screen he introduced me to the essentials for film acting and coached me on techniques to create truthful moment to moment acting for the camera. I learned a lot about creating an environment, relationships, intentions and honest responses that were believable and appropriate for the camera. I also had the opportunity to apply my on-camera technique to audition sides for a One-off with Elizabeth Berra from Marc Hirschfeld Casting. Very grateful for this opportunity to expand my skills and to learn more about my craft. Excited to take more film classes in the future!
